We’re proud to share that our executive director, Ankit Sanghavi, MPH, BDS, was a presenter at the 2025 ADEA Annual Session and Exhibition. His session, Centering Communities and Their Agency: Grassroots Path to Social Change, highlighted the power of grassroots advocacy in driving social change. Ankit joined a panel of advocacy leaders who shared their experiences and insights on mobilizing communities for change, navigating local and global challenges, and offering strategies for student leaders to lead impactful advocacy efforts. We're inspired by the conversations and solutions generated during this session!
Truly a privilege facilitating the 2025 ADEA SLSC program and hearing much-needed messages of progress, hope, and resilience from friends and accomplished national leaders in academia, policy, and advocacy, Fotinos Panagakos , Faizan Alawi, Ankit Sanghavi , Candace Hsu Owen, and Scott Darius of Florida Voices for Health. Huge thanks to my friend Shelvia English, Ph.D. and the amazing team at ADEA, and all the energized and engaged student leaders in attendance from across the country.
