Safety is our top priority, so we're sharing some information on potential hazards caused by lithium-ion batteries from our friends at the National Waste & Recycling Association. Lithium-ion batteries are fire and environmental hazards when incorrectly disposed of. These batteries can ignite when compressed, resulting in possible fires within our trucks and equipment. Batteries should not be placed in TDS carts or dumpsters. Some common items with lithium batteries include: - Mobile phones - Laptops - Digital cameras - Toys - Wireless headphones Instead of placing them in your carts or dumpsters, take them to your local hazardous waste drop-off center or any retailer that accepts lithium batteries. Thank you for doing your part to ensure your batteries get properly disposed of and keeping our communities safe.

Today is #NationalThriftShopDay! Celebrate the day by visiting the TDS Resale Center at our Creedmoor facilities. We reclaim and repurpose materials at the Citizens Convenience Center (CCC) and sell them at our Resale Shop. Shop for clothes, sporting equipment, DVDs, appliances and many other previously owned items, all while reducing the number of quality items from going into the landfill. The center operates Monday through Saturday from 8am to 5pm.

Today TDS was the lead sponsor of San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District's back-to-school convocation! We got the opportunity to provide breakfast and speak to over 1400 teachers and educators on how TDS can benefit their schools through proper waste education and our Eco Academy program. TDS’ staff of experts sent out laundry trailers and assisted with onsite emergency response equipment, to help in this time of need.
