Chemical manufacturing plays a vital role in supporting national priorities and the U.S. economy – directly employing over a half a million skilled jobs and supporting four million more jobs. Our future depends on chemistry: the global demand for chemistry is expected to rise 30% over the next decade. The U.S. is currently the second largest chemical producing country. Over the next decade, China is expected to increase its chemical production capacity by more than one third while the U.S.' capacity by only 10%. On top of this widening chemical gap, a surge of regulatory restrictions and a lack of coordination between the White House and federal agencies have made it harder for manufacturers to produce chemicals here at home. To not fall further behind, policymakers must adopt pro-growth policies that support American chemistry and bolsters the U.S.' competitive edge - not sending it overseas. When chemistry creates, America competes. Learn more in this sponsored article in The Hill. #ChemistryCreates https://ow.ly/yaNp50TlW7G

Creating a globally competitive environment for the chemical industry in Texas.
关于我们
Texas Chemistry Council (TCC) is a statewide trade association of chemical manufacturing facilities in Texas. TCC represents 70 member companies who operate over 200 manufacturing and research facilities across the state. Organized in 1953, TCC was the first state trade association in the U.S. to represent the interests of the petrochemical industry. The primary concern then was to present a unified position on state tax policy. As the chemical industry grew in size and importance in Texas, TCC expanded its representation of the chemical industry on other important issues including environmental protection, employee and process safety, energy policy, and tort reform. TCC members produce thousands of products that improve the quality of life for billions of people around the world. The Texas chemical industry directly employs more than 75,000 Texans and indirectly generates nearly a half-million Texas jobs. The business and affairs of the Council are managed by a Board of Directors chosen from among TCC member company representatives. TCC maintains a full-time Austin office with a professional staff that work with the Texas Legislature and state agencies, and provides education and professional services to Council members.
