A few highlights from the #txapwa Public Workshop: * #apwa presidential visit provided time for the attendees to personally interact with Dom and get first hand information about what APWA is working on. * the YP event in College Station was attended by over 100 YPs and future mentors. Remember you too can be apart of leadership within APWA. All you have to do is visit APWA.org and then reach out to a Chapter Leader or myself. * 15 past #txapwa presidents (representing 1983 - 2024) gathered with current Chapter leadership to tell their #publicworks story, enjoy a meal and posthumously honor Bill Verkest. Honored to have been able to attend and to be apart of the APWA leadership team.

It’s been an honor to have American Public Works Association President, Dominick Longobardi in the building this week at the Texas Chapter of APWA’s Public Workshop and Equipment Roadeo. It’s even better to have Italian representation in the organization I’ve spent most of my life involved in. It’s been great catching up since we last saw each other at PWX in Atlanta. We could exchange stories for days, I’m convinced—but that’s just the New York way—us NY italians could talk to a brick wall if you let us. The next time Jim Proce, ICMA-CM and I are in town, we’re going to a Mets game!!! Last night’s Past President Reception at this year’s Public Workshop and Equipment Roadeo was a beautiful combination of friendship, love, and dedication—a true representation of our American Public Works Association Texas Chapter. We have all grown together for years and years as more than just public servants, but also family. Dominick Longobardi even said it himself—the Texas Chapter does it like no other.
