Solution mining is a method of extracting valuable minerals from underground deposits using a liquid solvent, typically water or another chemical solution. Instead of physically digging or blasting to access the minerals, this process involves injecting the solvent into the ground to dissolve the minerals in place. Once dissolved, the mineral-rich solution is pumped back to the surface, where the minerals are separated from the liquid and processed.
