The Texas A&M Board of Regents has voted to establish the INSPIRE Alliance, a nonprofit expanding DOD-funded research across engineering and beyond. This initiative will drive innovation, create jobs, and strengthen Texas’ role in national security advancements. The INSPIRE Alliance will include a wide array of research topics, such as autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, space innovations, data and materials sciences. Dr. Arum Han and his lab developed NOVAsort (Next-generation Opto-Volume-based Accurate droplet sorter), a system that makes droplet microfluidics faster, lower cost, and more accurate. This new technology allows high throughput screening of molecules and cells at significantly reduced error rates.
