Advancing Glute Med Repairs with Tetrous EnFix TAC?-O At Tetrous, we’re dedicated to addressing challenges in orthopedic surgery, and Dr. Lonnie Davis' recent hip case in Northern Virginia exemplifies that commitment. The Case: A patient presented with a full-thickness gluteus medius tear, a condition with a reported failure rate of ~21% (https://lnkd.in/e9c7Tr-T). To enhance healing and promote bone-to-tendon integration, Lonnie Davis, MD employed the EnFix TAC-O, an innovative solution designed to optimize enthesis healing. The Approach: A double row technique was used, passing sutures through the tendon prior to placing EnFix TAC-O. Two EnFix TAC-O devices were positioned between the medial and lateral row anchors. The EnFix TAC-O system integrates seamlessly into existing techniques, adding minimal time while delivering a targeted solution for enthesis reformation. Dr. Davis shared his experience: "I found the EnFix TAC-O implants and instruments from Tetrous very easy to use, added very little time to the procedure, and allowed me to complete the repair without changing my technique. EnFix implants are designed specifically to promote enthesis healing, and that is exactly what I am looking for following bone-to-tendon injuries."
