As part of the ongoing initiative to continue enhancing the C-17 Home Station Check (HSC), Tesseract facilitators (Capt. Chloe Hohman, MSgt Derrick Brooke, Mr. Andrew Renken and MSgt Heikell Perez) returned to?Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst?to engage with the teams directly involved in maintenance operations. ?? Tesseract collaborated with?subject matter experts across the 305th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (AMXS) and 305th Maintenance Squadron (MXS) to form a core team who will focus on addressing key challenges, including?high work in progress (WIP), resource constraints, and effective communication. Key actions included: ? Delivering the?305th AMXS vicious cycle framework?to address inefficiencies.? ? Developing?courses of action to optimize workflows?and address resource constraints.? ? Establishing a?priority matrix?for resourcing maintenance tasks to balance?mission requirements and readiness. LOA has been a vital platform for collaboration, innovation, and leadership engagement, and we recognize this impacts many in our community. For Tesseract, this also means a change for Aether Sprint, our premier event where Airmen innovators present their groundbreaking solutions to senior leaders. While we won’t be gathering in Oklahoma City this March, we want to be clear: this does not diminish the incredible work of our Aether Sprint finalists. ?? Each project, rigorously vetted by HAF A4L, will continue receiving the support needed—whether through funding, process integration, or mentorship—to progress toward a sustainable MVP. ?? Our four finalist teams—Low Rollers, F-35 Composite Trainer, Versatile Depot Automated Test Station (VDATS), and Omniseal—have demonstrated outstanding innovation and dedication, and their solutions remain a priority. ?? We are committed to ensuring they receive the recognition and visibility they deserve.
