Terrex continues to make tremendous progress at the Emery Theater for The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati. One of the most unique challenges in this historic renovation was replacing the hundreds of theater house lights and their wiring - all while preserving the intricate plaster rosettes that surround each fixture. There was no standard for this, so the team got creative. Using 3D scanning technology, Terrex captured every detail of the rosettes, then 3D-printed exact replicas designed to fit modern, code-compliant fixtures. The result? Beautiful, historically accurate designs that meet today’s safety standards. Project Update: Exciting progress for the YWCA project to begin the New Year! The Terrex team is hard at work bringing this transformative project to life, now featuring an enclosed courtyard and redesigned staff areas. The project still includes 21 new temporary housing units supporting survivors of intimate partner violence. The project will double the YWCA's capacity, strengthening its role as a vital force for positive change in our community. Yesterday was a cold, windy, and snowy day in Cincinnati, particularly when you are standing at the top of Knob Hill on Radcliff Drive in Cincinnati’s South Fairmount neighborhood. But the gathering was for a heartwarming event––to celebrate the ceremonial groundbreaking of the new Blue Line Foundation HQ. This new Training and Wellness facility will be home to the Cincinnati FOP and offer some of the best resources to the men and women in law enforcement that includes spaces for mental health and wellbeing, physical fitness, officer training rooms, offices for the BLF and FOP staff, and shared community meeting rooms and spaces. Terrex Construction, and our design partner MSA Design, are looking forward to this incredible new building project!

Exciting progress at the Emery Theater for The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati! While preserving the theater’s historic elements, we faced a challenge with the steep slope of the main orchestra floor, which was not up to code. Our design team (GBBN Architects & Apeiro Design) resolved this by re-grading the floor and adjusting the stage elevation, maintaining the original sightlines while adding more trap room. This update also aligns the stage with the street level, making it easier to load stage sets in and out. Terrex Construction has completed the new floor framing, and we’re preparing to pour the new floors, which will match the original box configurations and orchestra layout. #TCTattheEmery #historicrenovation #urbanrenewal
