To us, it means "Language Service Partner", because your successes are ours. Many LSPs will educate you about a TM (translation memory), but if they have not told you it is YOUR asset not theirs - they are not a partner. All of us at Terralingua would like to express our gratitude for the calls and emails expressing concern about the well-being of our Porto Alegre team members. As you have seen on the news, heavy rains caused devastating floods in southern Brazil. An event of this scale has not been experienced in over 80 years, with 397 towns declaring states of emergency. This includes the state capital, Porto Alegre, where one of Terralingua’s production offices is located. Though our team members and office structure are safe and have survived this historic disaster - many are without the basic needs of water, food, and shelter. ? Our team has shown their resilience and problem-solving ingenuity as they continue to work despite the on-going crisis. Though our team is soldiering on, we do ask to keep those facing the challenge to rebuild in your thoughts. Rescue efforts are continuing as buildings are still underwater with roads and bridges destroyed. It is during times like this that we deeply appreciate the kindness of our partners, and their requests as to where to send donations. Your care will lift towns like Porto Alegre, “the joyful harbor”, to rise again. We are grateful for your partnership and appreciate your support during this overwhelming time.
