We are honored that we were recently selected as one of five finalists for the "Environmental Stewardship" category of the .ORG Impact Awards, from more than 1,700 applicants! The .ORG Impact Awards, an Public Interest Registry initiative, recognize the profound impact happening in communities across the globe. Although we did not win the award, it was an immense honor to be recognized as a global leader in reducing the flow of plastic waste from rivers and canals before it can reach the ocean. "The judges had a very difficult job determining a winner amongst so many great causes. Though we are a small organization, we have worked hard to be the most impactful. Our recognition was the result of thousands of people, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and my staff that made this honor possible." - James Scott, Executive Director of the TerraCycle Foundation We will continue to positively impact people, communities, and the environment by targeting waste upstream to collect it before it reaches the ocean and engaging with local communities to support education on recycling.
