TERRA Search Promise is the nation’s first service disabled owned small business dedicated to all aspects of POW/MIA recoveries. We are also the nation’s first veteran organization to open a portal for participation by the veteran community at large, their families and supporters. Our nation is fortunate that in recent conflicts very few of our battle buddies were left behind. No family wants news of death or injury of their loved ones. But even more maddening is the emptiness and damage caused by having little or any information about what happened to their son or daughter who never came home. In today’s health care priorities for veterans, taking care of the living is an obvious priority. Our generation is fortunate to have multiple outlets and programs for care and wellness (yes, we all have our stories of medical bureaucracies.) So few left behind also means lessening emotional attachment to the issue. It was this context that TERRA Search Promise was established; to keep our “nation’s promise to never forget” alive for current and future generations. Who else has skin in the game? In the past, the DOD held primary responsibility for bringing the nation’s veterans home. The track record was less than desirable to many families. Over the last few years, however, DOD has begun a partner program with non-DOD organizations to foster more success. TERRA Search Promise is a partner organization. Our intent is to bring organizational acumen, veteran participation, and energy to the process. Our core staff and strategic advisors already have years of successful experience. Along the way, we have also discovered that participating in recovery missions is a feel-good experience. Nothing clinical about it, we just notice it every mission. These feelings remain as we return home, especially when there is good news to offer. Join TERRA Search Promise seeks those interested in a noble mission while realizing personal benefit as well.
