Soy Porque Somos. Yesterday was magic talking school food and regenerative sourcing / infrastructure for California's schools at Front Porch Farms with Chef Ann (herself) of the Chef Ann Foundation, California First Partner, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, Lillian Reisenfeld, Mimi Buckley, Amanda Eller, Nora LaTorre, and Eve Cohen. I'm inspired by the groundwork already laid down by these leaders. I'm motivated by what is to come through collaboration. I just wish I had one picture of me and my partners, Calla Rose Ostrander and Amanda Hendy, from our exquisite day yesterday. But it was great fun brainstorming with them and my bestie Summer Stearns. I also wish I could adequately describe the flavor of these tomatoes. I guarded them with my life, as I delicately travelled home with them back to LA. This morning, I panicked when I thought my husband ate them without me getting to taste them once more. Thank you, Lily, for the invitation. Just a magical day in every way.
