Many IT services leaders ask: Is analyst relations (AR) really worth the time and money? Especially when firms aren’t as dependent on reports like Magic Quadrants or Waves as product companies. Beth Torrie, a Tercera Advisor and AR expert, has a clear answer: YES. Analysts influence enterprise IT buyers, shape market perception, and provide insights that can set firms apart. But investing in AR doesn’t have to mean dropping big $$$ on subscriptions. Beth shares some high-value, low-cost ways to build analyst relationships, including: >> Briefings – Keep analysts in the loop on major milestones (funding, acquisitions, big wins). >> Social engagement – Follow and interact with analysts—thoughtfully. >> Events & meetups – Conferences, coffee chats, and even casual networking can go a long way. >> Customer proof – Analysts trust data. Use testimonials and case studies to make your case. >> Strategic relationships – You don’t need every analyst on speed dial. A few key connections can move the needle. If you’re thinking about AR but don’t know where to start, Beth’s full post breaks it all down: https://hubs.ly/Q03cjXgv0 #ITServices #AnalystRelations #GrowthStrategy #MarketInfluence

Huge congrats to Black Diamond Advisory for winning the 2024 Splash EMEA Innovation Award! Their work with OneStream Software is a game-changer—turning a complex, manual process into real-time insights. Well deserved! #Innovation #Leadership
Our partner, Black Diamond Advisory, was a 2024 Splash EMEA Innovation Award winner for their work with a leading technology firm. They developed an attribution model that enabled their business partners to draw dependable insights from. The attribution model they had was manual and complex; sensitive to input error and taking multiple hours to produce outputs. OneStream brought them innovation linking complex operational datasets with their ERP and forecasts. The customer was able to leverage Black Diamond’s pre-built Allocations Solution and the OneStream Smart Connector to link operational datasets with their ERP and forecasts. Through Black Diamond and the OneStream platform, they co-developed an innovative solution that delivers attribution model insights in a matter of minutes consistently, reducing overall management reporting process by 75%. Congratulations! #OSPartnerMonth

Another Tercera offsite in the books—this time, the gang got together in Dallas! Kicking off our first in-person meetup of 2025, we took a moment to reflect on 2024 (the wins, the curveballs, and everything in between) and map out the year ahead. One thing we all agreed on? No matter the challenges, our crew has really come together as one team this past year. Since we were in Texas, we did it right: massive steaks, a victorious escape room mission, and a full-on February birthday bash. (Fun fact: FIVE of us have February birthdays—that’s half the team!) Does your team do in-person meetups? What’s your favorite part about getting everyone together? In 2025, too many businesses are pulling back their diversity efforts, despite clear data that diversity and a more inclusive, engaged workforce drives better business outcomes. At Tercera, we believe now is the time to step forward, not fall back. This week we held a dinner with a stellar group of female services leaders to discuss how we improve gender diversity in IT services. More specifically, at the founder and C-levels. Today women make up 51% of the global population but hold just 29% of C-level roles. While there is less data on IT services specifically, we believe it's even worse in this segment. We've made progress, but it’s fragile. This dinner was part of a broader Women in Services initiative that Tercera is kicking off this year to increase female representation in the C-suite and encourage and support women entrepreneurs. More on this initiative in the coming weeks, but let's just say this dinner gave us A LOT to think about as we move forward. A huge thank you to Lori Williams, Emily Lynch, Joyce Durst, Catherine Lang and Christina Bailey, CPA for joining us last week - for your stories, inspiration and advice on how we can help others. #DiversityInTech #WomenInLeadership #ITServices #DEI

For IT services firms, license resell revenue can feel like free money—predictable cash flow, high margins, and minimal effort. But is it really as good as it seems? In our latest blog, Tercera partner, Garrett Blank dives into the double-edged sword of resell revenue: >> Why ISVs offer these deals and how firms benefit >> The risks lurking behind the margins (think: shrinking commissions, credit risks, and ecosystem challenges) >> How investors view this revenue stream (hint: balance is key!) If your firm is treating resell commissions as the ultimate golden goose, it’s time to rethink the strategy. Check out the full article and learn how to maximize the benefits while sidestepping the pitfalls: https://hubs.ly/Q0360Ghj0 What’s your take? Do the rewards outweigh the risks? Let’s discuss in the comments! #licenseresell #ITservices
