City of Bellevue, Washington's newest park is now open for recreation! TENW assisted with design efforts for the Bridle Trails Valley Creek Park, including the installation of the pedestrian crosswalk with flashing beacons, which safely connects neighbors and visitors to the park entrance.?While other elements of TENW’s design work go unseen, it is an important piece of the overall user experience for outdoor spaces like parks. Our passion is bringing smart designs to spaces that allow our community to thrive. Did you know that TENW works on a wide range of traffic studies? From evaluating traffic impacts related to massive mixed use master plan developments to smaller tenant improvement permits, TENW covers it all! Most jurisdictions require traffic studies as part of the permitting and entitlement process. Depending on the project size and location, the scope of traffic study requirements can vary significantly. ? Recently, TENW had the opportunity to assist a local small business owner prepare a traffic study for a new cooperative preschool in the city of Edmonds. The traffic report included documentation of net new peak hour trips generated and an independent transportation impact fee calculation specific to the project. With TENW’s help, the City approved the project with a reasonable and cost-effective transportation impact fee rate. TENW was grateful to be part of the team to get these much needed early learning classrooms ready for their first day of learning last month. #TENW #TransportationPlanning #TrafficStudy
