Kuwait Hospital - Kuwait The New Jahra Medical City in Kuwait stands as one of the largest healthcare development projects in the Middle East. Taiyo Group, successfully completed the design and construction of a three-layer ETFE roof, incorporating 134 tons of steel to cover the main atrium, which spans an impressive 50,000 square feet. The hospital's architectural design highlights innovation and sustainability through the use of an ETFE (ethylene tetrafluoroethylene) film membrane. This exceptional material, known for its lightweight and durable qualities, forms a dynamic and visually captivating fa?ade. Its superior light transmission ensures well-lit, welcoming interior spaces, minimizing the reliance on artificial lighting. Additionally, the ETFE film's insulating properties enhance energy efficiency by maintaining optimal temperature levels and reducing the building's environmental impact. At Kuwait Hospital, the ETFE membrane not only elevates the structure's aesthetic appeal but also reflects a commitment to modern, eco-friendly design. It provides patients and staff with a sustainable and comfortable environment, fostering a healing atmosphere aligned with contemporary architectural standards. visit for more: https://taiyomc-me.com/ #SustainableBuilding #InnovationInConstruction #ETFEinMiddleEast #ETFE #Taiyo #TaiyoMiddleEast #ETFEroof

Disney Resort - China Disney Resort is a station on Line 11 of the Shanghai Metro, located in Shanghai's Pudong New Area. Situated within the Shanghai Disney Resort complex, it serves as the eastern terminus of Line 11 and acts as a transportation hub for the resort area. The station opened on April 26, 2016, and is known for its design, featuring a blue color scheme, fantasy elements, a skylight roof, and full accessibility. The interior design of the Shanghai Disneyland Metro Station was undertaken by the East China Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. The design draws inspiration from traditional Chinese paper-cutting art, integrated with Disney's classic cartoon imagery. For instance, the station features decorations combining Mickey Mouse with traditional Xiangyun motifs and door nails reminiscent of ancient Chinese architecture. The canopy and structure use materials similar to those in the Water Cube to achieve energy-saving and whimsical effects. The platform and stair areas are primarily black and white, reflecting Disney's early black-and-white animations. The hall floor is brightly colored, with a large sculpture in the center depicting Disney themes in colorful paper-cutting, standing 3 meters tall. The station's roof employs an ETFE single-layer membrane, a reliable and economical material used in many construction projects. This membrane, made from high-strength fluoropolymer (ETFE), has a special anti-adhesive surface that resists dirt and is easy to clean, with rainwater typically removing most dirt. #TensileStructures #ShanghaiDisneyResort??#ShanghaiMetro??#DisneyStation?? #ArchitecturalDesign??#ETFE

Quzhou Stadium - China The Quzhou Stadium, which opened on October 23, 2021, has a seating capacity of 30,000 and is notable for its innovative two-layer canopy system. This system features white weatherproof membranes. The roof employs a light-transmitting Flexlight T1100 waterproof PTFE, while the ceiling utilizes a Flexlight M700 flame retardant PTFE mesh membrane. This design serves both an aesthetic and practical function, creating an effect reminiscent of floating clouds above the grandstands and casting a serene reflection on the nearby lake.
