As our Programs Coordinator Sarah will help share kids’ stories and support foster families through the I Belong Project, Foster Friendly Business Program and App. - - - Our innovative Foster Friendly Program and App engage area businesses to support kinship and foster parents with discounts, resources and support. Foster Friendly Businesses use their unique products or services to benefit foster families. As a result, families build connection over meals together, create lifelong memories at local attractions, capture sweet moments during photography sessions, heal with the help of trauma-informed counselors and so much more. With support from local businesses, foster parents are able to keep their homes open longer and better serve those placed in their care. Foster Friendly Businesses serve as safe spaces within the community, where everyone is welcome and staff are attuned to the unique needs of kids in care. We're hiring a Community Engagement Manager in Davidson County. If you are passionate about uniting people to improve the experiences and outcomes for kids in care - we have the perfect role for you! Our team of Community Engagement Managers build Foster Friendly Communities in their regions by engaging local leaders to find their YES and do their part in supporting foster and adoptive families. Through unique and innovative programming around church and business engagement, this role will require you to be a convener, cast vision and walk closely alongside churches and businesses as they begin to support the recruitment and support of foster and adoptive families. This role will be expected to manage current relationships with churches/businesses in these areas as well as grow new relationships. Nashville is a rapidly growing, vibrant and diverse city, with rich history and traditions. For the past seven years, Melissa has served as Executive Director at Bloom Family Designs. As the leader of this incredible nonprofit, Melissa’s visionary leadership led to the creation and gifting of over 140 ROOMS to children in foster care and those being adopted! With her background in organizational communication and nonprofit management, she is excited to link arms to continue serving our local foster care community. On our team, she’ll use her passion for storytelling and child advocacy to create spaces of belonging across our online platforms.
