Did you know that about 30% of our native bees are stem nesting and overwinter in their larval stage in the hollow cavity of plant stems? Save the stems! During the growing season, female bees find open stems and lay eggs in them, along with a ball of pollen and nectar for the larvae to eat. The larvae develop in the stems, hibernate during the winter, and emerge from the stems in the spring! TVA recently released its draft of the 2025 Integrated Resource Plan, which is a long-term plan for how TVA will produce electricity over the next 25 years. The 2025 IRP will impact the strength of our electricity grid, the health of our air and soil, the cost of our electricity bills, and our climate. It is more important now than ever that TVA gets this plan right, and your choices will influence the final version as TVA reviews comments on the draft.
