Our second project feature highlights Troy Bost, Tennessee native and TBA’s low voltage lead on the new Nissan Stadium project. Low voltage work begins early to ensure pathways are in place for the equipment installed closer to project completion. Features like the facility’s tour-grade sound system require extensive planning and coordination from the very first day. From the first days of the new Nissan Stadium project, we’ve been filming the progress onsite and talking to our TBA team about bringing the project to life. Kevin Korczyk is documenting construction for TBA and shares some of the early components of the build: deep foundations, vertical structure, and concrete. TBA was proud to sponsor TWISTER at the Adventure Science Center over the weekend! A few of our team members led a Girls Who Build session simulating real-world construction processes like following designer plans and submitting requests for information. The project was to make a pizza made of modeling clay! Thank you to our team members for participating in this event and providing mentorship to young women interested in STEM! Our team and partners were excited to gather last week for our fifth graduation ceremony at Titans Construction Training Camp. Our nine January TC2 graduates had a 100 percent success rate in obtaining their industry certifications.? Thanks to the Tennessee Titans and our many local partner organizations. Your commitment is making a difference for these men and women in our community! Our newest local partner, Elliott's Boots and Shoes, is providing a pair of boots for each graduate, ensuring they have appropriate footwear as they begin new careers. TBA is proud to showcase one of our valued joint venture partners, I.C.F. Builders and Consultants, Inc. (ICF), a Nashville-based, minority-owned construction management firm known for delivering impactful construction projects across Middle Tennessee, including the new Nissan Stadium. Roger Ligon, Jr., president of ICF, continues the legacy established by his father, Roger Ligon Sr., who founded the company over 30 years ago. Since its inception, ICF has contributed to a variety of community-focused projects in Nashville, including the National Museum of African American Music, affordable and senior housing developments, the Lentz Public Health Center, renovations to the Watkins Park Community Center, and an addition to the Buena Vista Church of Christ. ICF’s role in the new Nissan Stadium project is particularly meaningful. The company was part of the original stadium's construction in the late 1990s—then known as the Adelphia Coliseum—where they installed door frames and hardware packages. Ligon Jr. fondly recalls spending months alongside his father, meticulously installing each door in the stadium. Today, this family-owned business has come full circle, transitioning from a subcontractor on the original stadium to a joint-venture partner on the new stadium. From the pursuit phase to the ongoing construction, ICF has been pivotal in the project’s planning and execution. TBA was honored to host 17 ninth-grade students from Glencliff High School at the new Nissan Stadium project! In support of Glencliff's upcoming Commercial and Residential Academy pathway, which launches in 2025, these aspiring architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) professionals gained valuable insight into careers within the industry. The day started with an overview of the new Nissan Stadium project, followed by engaging, hands-on learning with project engineers, superintendents, virtual design and construction specialists, and architects contributing to this monumental project. A distinguished panel of women in construction from TBA and The C&F Company, LLC., moderated by Tara Myers, FAIA with ESa shared their journeys, inspiring the students to dream big and pursue greatness in their future careers.
