? Starting the week off on a high note with some incredible feedback from one of our satisfied customers! ? "I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the excellent job Tenco has done to solar panels on my house.[...] Prior to your panel installation, my electrical bill ran me $5,600 per year.?Today?, I'm pleased to report that I had my current annual assessment from the power company, and I wrote them a check for $1.72.?For a savings of roughly $5,598 per year. ? The original cost of your system was $49,510, with a tax credit of $14,583 for a total of 34,657.? ? I got a tax credit of $8,000 this year and anticipate another $7,583 next year. ? Obviously, I made a good decision working with your company.?The sad part is that I anticipate no problems, meaning I won't get the opportunity to work with you again. Once again, thank you for a job well done." - Terry Stewart, Professional Building Designer At TENCO SOLAR, we’re all about delivering results that truly make a difference for our customers. With significant changes on the horizon, 2025 is set to bring higher costs and reduced ROI for commercial solar projects. Here’s what’s coming: ???Tariffs Doubling:?Tariff rates on solar panels imported from China will jump from 25% to 50% starting?January 1, 2025. This will lead to steep price increases for panels. ???Solar Export Rates Dropping:?The California Public Utility Commission's 2025 updates are expected to reduce export values (the value of energy sold back to the grid) by as much as 50%. ???Secure Your Tax Credits:?With potential changes to tax credits under a new administration, it’s crucial to lock in your ITC tax credits now. In addition to the 30% ITC, many California projects can also qualify for the 10% Energy Community Adder. However, the IRS established a “Safe Harbor” provision in the Investment Tax Credit (ITC) that allows customers to preserve their tax credits for a given year by “beginning construction” on their solar project. Check out this article to learn more about how Safe Harbor works, and how TENCO SOLAR can help:?https://lnkd.in/g7Jr5Ebe

Big News! The Treasury Department released new guidance in late Spring 2024 that significantly expands the area that qualifies for the Energy Community Adder. As a reminder, the Energy Community Adder states that commercial projects are eligible for a 10%-point increase (30% → 40%) in the value of the Investment Tax Credit (ITC) if they are located in areas that meet specific requirements.
