Landscape Architecture + Urbanism

关于我们

Founded in 2015, TEN x TEN is a transdisciplinary landscape architecture and urban design practice grounded by a shared curiosity and passion for experimentation, storytelling, and agency. We collaborate with visionary clients and teams to co-create immersive, resilient landscapes that adapt to social, economic, and environmental transformation. Capitalizing on creative alliances between fields, we operate comfortably within a shifting set of disciplinary boundaries. We listen, communicate, and trust, cultivating a design process full of community and laughter. Our work pays careful attention to craft, beauty, and temporality inherent in any landscape. Merging art and science, our process challenges norms of the landscape architecture profession. We ask: What do we see? How can we document, investigate and experiment to build relationships and deepen our ways of knowing? How can we apply various modes of seeing and making to discover the magic latent in a site? Our studies document change: mold, decay, growth, competition, failure, and resilience. We explore spaces, stories, materials, and ecologies at all scales, and elevate the everyday human experience through a deep respect for the authenticity of people, culture, and ecology.

10.10 Day is a day we’ve chosen to come together, discuss, share, and celebrate all things TEN x TEN. This year, we want to highlight some of our amazing clients and partners who are doing incredible work leading, advocating, challenging typical decision-making models, and pushing our public landscapes toward places that serve all people. We’re so grateful to support and collaborate with such remarkable organizations. 01. Lakewood Cemetery Lakewood Cemetery is a historic 250-acre cemetery in Minneapolis, and we admire their mission to celebrate, and honor loved ones from the whole community. On the heels of their 150th birthday, TxT and Snow Kreilich Architects collaborated with Lakewood to build new welcome gardens and a net zero Welcome Center as a way of extending their mission into the landscape. 02. Great River Passage Conservancy + City of Saint Paul Working in partnership with the City of Saint Paul, the Great River Passage Conservancy leads advocacy and private fundraising efforts for three key projects along Saint Paul’s 17 miles of Mississippi River that will create opportunities to experience the river in new and equitable ways. In 2023, funding was secured from the State Legislature to advance the River Learning Center into final design development and construction documentation. TxT and VJAA Inc. have been selected to lead this next phase of work, with a focus on design implementation and advancing community engagement. 03. Wakan Tipi Awanyankapi Wakan Tipi Awanyankapi is a Native-Led, environmental stewardship nonprofit centered in Dakota values whose leadership, restoration initiatives, and expansive programming is transformational. It has been an honor to work alongside WTA on the Indian Mounds Messaging Plan and Phase 1 Implementation, and we look forward to working together on the next phase of work at the River Learning Center. . . .
