Quality sleep is crucial for achieving daily goals for children of all ages, including academic performance, but summer break can disrupt established bedtime routines. To help children easily transition back to school, it's important to start adjusting their sleep schedules early and follow recommended sleep guidelines. ? Preschoolers (ages 3-5) need 10-13 hours of sleep. ? School-age children (ages 6-12) need 9-11 hours of sleep. ? Teenagers (ages 13-18) need 8-10 hours of sleep. Implementing a consistent bedtime routine, practicing good sleep hygiene, and balancing extracurricular activities can significantly improve sleep quality and support overall success in the school year. We recently celebrated the opening of our newly relocated manufacturing facility in Puerto Rico. This $4.5M investment was met with tremendous excitement from our customers, employees, and the Puerto Rican government. The new facility can build 150 mattresses per day, has the capabilities to build the entire Stearns & Foster?? line, and will eventually be able to carry Tempur-Pedic?? inventory. With more than 60 years on the island, we're excited to invest more in our future success. The 44,000-square-foot facility expands capacity and operational efficiencies across production, consisting of more than 50 different mattress models. We're thrilled to invest in Puerto Rico and look forward to a successful future together with our partners and continued growth in the bedding industry. We want to thank everyone who contributed to making this incredible celebration possible.

Today, Company Chairman and CEO Scott Thompson and EVP and CFO Bhaskar Rao shared our Q2 2024 earnings results. In the second quarter of 2024, our leading U.S. brands performed well—with net sales of approximately $1.2 billion, a slight decrease of 2.8% from the prior year, and an increase of 14.8% in net income to $106 million compared to Q2 2023. Scott Thompson commented, "We are pleased to see our global market outperformance mitigate the impact of softer than anticipated industry volumes. Despite an estimated mid-single-digit industry decline over the quarter, more than our anticipated low-single-digit decline for the period, our sales were only slightly below internal expectations. Our strong gross margin performance and solid cost controls resulted in healthy earnings growth in the second quarter." "I am pleased to share that we recently executed a new post-closing supply agreement with one of Mattress Firm's medium-size mattress suppliers. This is one of several post-closing supply agreements we have executed in preparation for our planned acquisition of Mattress Firm, and is consistent with our plan for Mattress Firm to continue as a multi-branded retailer. Regarding the FTC's challenge of the Mattress Firm acquisition, we are confident in the pro-competitive rationale for this transaction and look forward to presenting the facts of our case. We believe that a successful litigation process can be completed in the coming months, which would allow us to close the transaction in late 2024 or early 2025."
