Tempe Coalition, a project of TCC, was honored to participate Kyrene Middle School’s Social and Emotional Health Day – "How To Be The Best You: Strategies for Mental Well-Being and Coping." Guest speakers Zion Givens and Katey McPherson shared valuable insights on resilience, self-care, and healthy coping strategies. Students also engaged in activities focused on mental well-being, healthy habits, and positive ways to manage stress. It was an inspiring day dedicated to equipping young minds with tools for a healthier future. Thank you to Kyrene Middle School for hosting this impactful event! ?? Today, we remember and honor Joe Spracale. A true Tempe legend, Joe dedicated his life to uplifting children, families, and the entire community. From shaping young minds as a teacher and principal to serving on the Tempe City Council, his passion for service never wavered. As Executive Director and a member of the Board of Directors of the Tempe Impacts Education Foundation, he championed educational opportunities for local students. His leadership in education, civic engagement, and countless organizations made an immeasurable impact on generations of residents. Our 2004 Don Carlos Humanitarian recipient, Joe embodied the spirit of the award — building a stronger, more compassionate community through his unwavering dedication. We are forever grateful for his legacy. Rest in peace, Joe. Your impact on Tempe will never be forgotten. ??
