We’ve got a huge announcement to make! Some of you may remember our founder, Sam Gilbert, announced back earlier this year, that he would be seeking a successor. After an extensive search, we’re excited to introduce our new CEO, Brandon B?rgel. “After eight incredible years building Temescal Brewing, I’ve decided it’s time to step back as CEO as I embark on a new adventure,” said Sam. “For this next phase of leadership, we wanted someone with both deep industry expertise and a commitment to our values. I’m confident Brandon is the right person to lead Temescal into its next chapter and can’t wait to see where he takes us.” Brandon joins the Temescal team with 20+ years of experience working in the beer and beverage industry, having worked for Fort Point, Drake’s, Schilling Cider, and Firestone Walker, just to name a few. “I’m beyond thrilled to be joining such a welcoming brewery that has earned a reputation for making fantastic beer. Temescal has championed inclusivity since its inception and I’m honored to work alongside a passionate, tight-knit team who cares so deeply.” Brandon has spent the past few months getting up to speed and has indicated a clear vision for Temescal, which includes upgrades to the nearly nine year-old taproom + beer garden, expanding distribution through the Bay Area, and eventually, adding a second location. “It’s important for me to honor what Sam & Co started," says Brandon. "Most of all, I love the community Temescal has built. The brewery has such a vibrant, unique personality—we will continue to innovate and be an inclusive space that caters to more than just beer lovers. Temescal has such amazing, loyal fans and I'm ready to take us to the next level.”
