We close out this month celebrating our veterans with Nicklas Friberg, VP of Surveillance Systems in our T?by, Sweden office. Nick is part the Swedish Airborne Rangers, an elite parachuting team. In June, the Rangers took part in an 80th anniversary D-Day event near the Mont St.-Michael Abbey in France, which was seized by German forces during World War II. St. Michael is considered the Patron Saint of Paratroopers, so as close to holy ground as the team could get. Nick jumped from a C-47 aircraft and stuck the landing in front of a crowd of 2,000 local townspeople, many dressed in 1940s clothing, vividly bringing this history lesson to life. #Veterans #DDay

A drone fit for a princess. Princess Ingrid Alexandra, second-in-line for the Norwegian throne, is currently serving as a gunner in the Norwegian Army. Recently her mother, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, spent her 50th birthday in Skjold, Norway, where she got a taste of Army life from her daughter’s fellow soldiers. The visit included a training session with Teledyne FLIR's Black Hornet 3. After a brief tutorial, the Crown Princess took the controller herself, easily piloting the Norway born-and-built nano-drone around the facility. Takk for at du flyr med oss! ?? ?? ??
