    Imagine going back to 2016. Could you have predicted how AI, automation, and global events would radically reshape the job market? For nearly a decade, the Teiva Systems team has analyzed reports from the World Economic Forum on the future of jobs—tracking which skills have become essential, which jobs have disappeared, and what new roles have emerged. What predictions came true, and how can you prepare for the future? 2016: The beginning of the Fourth Industrial Revolution - Predicted the loss of over 5 million jobs due to automation. - Digital and programming skills were first highlighted as essential. 2018: Rising demand for soft skills - Creativity, critical thinking, and adaptability became highly valued. - “Robots won’t take your job. People who adapt will.” 2020: Pandemic-induced acceleration - The pandemic rapidly sped up digital transformation and remote work. - 85 million jobs could be displaced by 2025, but 97 million new ones will emerge. 2023: The green transition - The push for sustainability created new roles in green energy, environmental engineering, and sustainable development. - AI, Big Data, and cybersecurity skills became non-negotiable. 2025: The dominance of technology and workforce adaptation - By 2030, 170 million new jobs are expected globally, while 92 million could be lost. - AI is taking over routine tasks, but humans remain indispensable for creativity and strategic decision-making.     From 20–24 January, all eyes are on the World Economic Forum, taking place in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland. We invite you to explore their insights on Productivity and what it might look like in 2030. (Next week, we’ll analyze another important topic.) Why Are We Slowing Down? Productivity is the backbone of economic growth and well-being. Yet, since 2008, we’ve experienced a dramatic slowdown. While new technologies continue to emerge, many companies and regions struggle to adapt, and, in some cases, inequalities are deepening. The report outlines four possible futures for productivity in 2030: - Productivity Leap: Technology and human capital work in perfect synergy. This is the most optimistic scenario. - Automation Overload: Technology outpaces us, widening the gap between “winners” and “losers.” - Human Advantage: Creativity and human skills take center stage, but progress remains slow and uneven. - Productivity Drought: A twin slowdown in technology and human capital leads to stagnation.
