Check it out! Over the past 10 months, TIPS has been incredibly lucky to work with talented Interaction Design students - now graduates - from California College of the Arts. As part of their Social Lab project, these students support a nonprofit organization with their program’s story-telling through visual design. We are so grateful for the thoughtful, creative way the CCA team approached TIPS and our history, and we are excited to share that their collateral will now live permanently on the TIPS website! You can view two of their designs on TIPS’ Mission & About page, along with our most recent blog post — and there’s more to come, soon! Thank you so much, Gayatri Tawde, Eeshani Barve, Ford Minton, and Divyanshi R.!!

TIPS' Annual Fall Luncheon was last Friday, and we want to extend a huge THANK YOU to our supporters. We are thrilled to share that we raised over $250,000 toward empowering a future generation of service-minded leaders! Attendees heard from our superstar alumni MCs, Nardos Assefa and Elias Ng, our nonprofit partners at Seward Park Audubon Center, TIPS' Co-Founder, Maureen Brotherton, and TIPS' Board Chair, Hans Juhl. We were also excited to bring back our Alumni Leadership Award, which went to 2001 alumni, Nathaniel Olsen - incredibly well-deserved. Our Luncheon is an annual reminder of how grateful we are to be able to do the work we do and for the community that supports TIPS' mission. Our funding is a direct investment in future interns' summer experiences and growth as community leaders. THANK YOU for your generous contributions and for joining us in our mission - we could not do it without you! We cannot wait to continue supporting teen leaders in summer 2025. Head to our blog (https://lnkd.in/gPF2AAr3) for more pictures from the event - courtesy of Nicholas Escote!

After an extensive search, the TIPS Board is thrilled to appoint Geoff Ball, as the new TIPS Executive Director. Geoff has led organizations of all sizes while focusing much of his career on Youth Development. Upon arriving in Seattle from his home on the East Coast, he had the great fortune of Directing YMCA Camp Orkila. When asked about his “why” for joining the TIPs team, Geoff shared his excitement for the mission and becoming part of such a homegrown organization with an extensive, and fabulous history developing leaders and serving the greater Seattle community. We are excited for the youth development, fundraising, and operational expertise Geoff will bring to our incredible team and to our TIPS programming! -- Image description: Text reading "Welcome, Geoff" at top of screen, with a headshot of Geoff in middle, circular frame. Two faded circular decals to each side of Geoff's headshot.
