关于我们

For decades, the Home Lawn Care segment of the Turfgrass Industry has been dominated by a handful of national players and a huge number of small, local services filled with people who learned on the job. The scientifically trained Turfgrass professionals flocked to golf courses and professional sports fields and homeowners were stuck with sub-par services as a result. Teed & Brown is changing that dynamic. Teed & Brown brings the scientific knowledge and training to the front doorstep. Our team holds several BS Degrees in Turfgrass Science, NALP Certifications and Irrigation Certifications. We have developed “Teed & Brown University” as an in-house training center to teach Turf Science to each and every T&B service professional. Simply put, we know what we’re doing, and we’re always learning more. Teed & Brown is looking for Turfgrass professionals who may be interested in an exciting work environment with tremendous upside potential. We are expanding at an aggressive pace and need more knowledgeable people in order to ensure only the highest quality services for our clients. If that sounds intriguing to you, please touch base!

  • 🌨️ Frost Alert! Time to Protect Your Lawn! 🌱 Have you noticed a crisp layer of frost on your lawn in the mornings? While it might look magical, frost can impact your grass if not handled properly. ❄️ Here are a few quick tips to keep your lawn healthy during these frosty mornings: 👉 Avoid walking on frosty grass: Foot traffic can damage frozen blades, leaving unsightly patches when the frost melts. 👉 Keep your mower in the shed: Mowing during frosty conditions can stress your grass. It’s time to let it rest! 👉 Remove debris: Clear leaves or objects from your lawn to prevent dead spots during frost. 👉 Plan ahead: A winter fertilizer in the fall can help your lawn weather frost better. Your lawn is prepping for its winter nap, and a little TLC now can lead to a vibrant, green spring.

  • Why Clearing leaves Is Key for a Healthy Lawn. 1. PREVENTS SMOTHERING: When leaves pile up and create a dense layer, they block sunlight and restrict airflow. Grass needs sunlight, especially during fall when it’s preparing for winter, to grow roots and store energy. 2. REDUCES MOISTURE TRAPPING: A layer of leaves traps moisture, which can lead to mold, fungus, and diseases that damage the lawn. Grass doesn’t thrive in excessively wet conditions, and moisture buildup encourages rot and fungal growth. 3. ALLOWS NUTRIENT PENETRATION: Grass benefits from nutrients in the soil. When leaves are left on the lawn, they form a barrier that stops water and essential nutrients from reaching the grass roots. 4. IMPROVES LAWN AESTHETICS AND SAFETY: Accumulated leaves can make a lawn look untidy. Wet leaves can also be slippery, posing a risk for falls, especially on walkways or driveways. 5. PROTECTS GRASS FROM PESTS: Decomposing leaves attract pests, like rodents and insects, which can damage the lawn and may even make their way into your home. Raking or mulching leaves instead of letting them sit keeps your lawn healthier, allowing grass to breathe and grow strong through the fall and into the next season. Now, this video might be a little outdated but still works. • Why is it important to blow out your irrigation system NOW? 1. Prevents Pipe Cracking: When temperatures drop, any remaining water in the system can freeze and expand, potentially cracking pipes, fittings, and sprinkler heads. 2. Protects Valves and Backflow Prevention Devices: Freezing water can damage the more sensitive and costly parts of the irrigation system, like valves and backflow preventers, which may need expensive repairs or replacements. 3. Avoids Costly Repairs: Damage from freezing can go unnoticed until spring when the system is turned back on, leading to extensive repairs and delays. 4. Increases System Lifespan: Regularly blowing out your system at the end of the season reduces wear and tear, extending the life of the entire irrigation setup. • "When Should I Seed My Lawn?" SPRING AND/OR FALL In the spring, it's time to revive your lawn after the harsh winter months. This is the perfect opportunity to spot-seed any bare areas that need a little extra attention to bring your lawn back to life. Fall, however, is the best time for overseeding. Cooler temperatures combined with warm soil create the perfect conditions for seed germination. This gives new grass a chance to establish itself before the cold winter sets in. Even the healthiest lawns can thin over time due to summer foot traffic, pests, disease, and extreme weather. Seeding, especially in the fall, helps restore your lawn’s thickness and keeps it looking vibrant. Don't wait until it's too late - let's reseed your lawn and get it healthy again!
