Wasn't planning on posting anything for PR purposes or any kind of personal gratification but this is my only form of social media and I wanted to point out how proud I am of my wife Caitlin Nascarella for organizing a small relief drive with our neighborhood and local friends in Greenville, SC on the fly, primarily with nonperishables and baby products. Both of us being from Florida we're well aware of the dramatic impact a storm can have on communities. When it happens multiple times a year down at home it's easy to get desensitized to the damage. But being up here in the Carolinas we realized this is a once in a lifetime (hopefully) event for this area. Between infrastructure, town layouts, etc the region here had much different factors to prepare for. For the residents and families of western NC we thought it was the least we could do to try to band together some of the resources which we may have been taking for granted and send them via helicopter to the members of these communities in hopes they can feel our touch and know there are others who care about them. A donation was made by Thermal Energy Engineering Company on behalf of our team to support this effort because these communities aren't just flyover country to us. We work and stay in these communities, we have become close with many of the personnel at the plants whose equipment we're responsible for, and we care about their families. An important quality to us in being a "service based company" is that we continue to serve whether we are on the clock or not. Service to our communities, both professional and local, continues after we take off our steel toes and return to our normal lives. For many a "normal life" is a long way away, if ever, so we feel a call to duty to continue our philosophy of service as long as someone is in need of something we can be helpful for. I am traveling to central Georgia today and will be asking the same questions about how we can help. These communities have been gracious and hospitable to us both professionally and personally over the years and while we were fortunate to be minimally impacted here at home we hope to become a blessing to others and return that grace.
