Speaking at TEDxIllinois Tech has been a fulfilling and enlightening journey and I am grateful for the blessings. I know what it takes to pull off an event having done conferences in the past, so I understand the work required and hurdles to jump, so congratulations to the organizing committee, your hard work and dedication paid off. I know there were many involved but BIG shout out to Mohammed Sahil, Ankita Pimple, Nitesha Paatil, Radha Prabhakaran, Hamza Mohammed Mohammad Anas Hussain, Mohammed Abrar Ahmed and many others. ? It was also an honour sharing the stage with my fellow speakers with your thought provoking content, thank you so much for inspiring the audience and rekindling my fire for knowledge, learning and innovation: ?Lance Fortnow, Ayra Mudessir, Syda Segovia Taylor, M.A., Adan K Pope, Lorenzo Conti, Matthew Adkins, Mary Grygleski, In the end I think everyone left “Empowered Together”. I connected with Mary Grygleski in preparation for the talk and when we met in person it was like we were old friends lol. Thank you for your energy ?? The musical interludes were pore raising, Kristen Lee your story was captivating so by the time you got to the keyboard I was already invested and you sealed it with a fantastic performance. And the flute and piano duet by Carolyn May and Chris Garofalo was a delightful end for an amazing showcase of talent. ? I am truly honoured and humbled to have been a part of this event and just like ripples in the water, I look forward to the impact of this vibration going forward.

When I was contacted by TEDxIllinois Tech, I felt the honor and excitement it brings. But as I read the invitation, I thought of the many deserving voices around me, often unheard. In that moment, I knew my role wasn’t on the stage—it was to lift someone else to it. My colleague, Matthew Adkins, had been working toward a TEDx opportunity for some time. I’ve seen his passion and dedication firsthand. So I informed him of the opportunity and encouraged him to submit an application. And he got it! His talk was powerful, and his message was a reminder that lifting others is not a sacrifice but a privilege. Compassionate Leadership is about creating space for others to shine. It’s a reminder that our legacy as leaders is not built on the stages we stand on alone, but on the platforms we build for others. When we uplift those around us, we foster a legacy of growth, opportunity, and empowerment that will echo far beyond our own reach. What an experience being on the TEDxIllinois Tech stage! It’s amazing what life throws at you when you are open to growing. I was able to share the pathway to World Peace and the importance of understanding our interconnectedness through the three Onenesses. Oneness of God. Oneness of Religion. Oneness of Humanity. As stated in the Promise of World Peace written by the Universal House of Justice in 1985, “World peace is inevitable…through unimaginable horror…or consultative will, the choice is up to those that inhabit the Earth.” Choose wisely. #oneness #onehumanfamily #peace #unity #love #interconnected #embracediversity

It's been a busy few days. On Friday, we gave the Dean's award at the Kaplan Institute Innovation Day to Sustainable Synthesizers, a group that aims to protect crops in a ecologically friendly way. On Saturday, I gave a TEDxIllinois Tech talk on "The Death of Expertise". I'll post the video when it's available. On Sunday, the Triangle Fraternity Illinois Tech chapter invited me to their annual Thanksgiving dinner. Great to hang out with students and alums. Reminds me of my old Kappa Delta Rho days at Cornell.
