(https://lnkd.in/dEKfF_7t) - 60% of students were unaware of the range of support services available - 31% of students knew about their campus peer mentoring programs - 29% of students knew about their campus student success coaching - 33% of students knew about their campus health clinic - 56% of students knew about their campus tutoring center program It's concerning to see that despite universities offering a wide range of incredible academic and personal support programs, many students aren't engaging with these resources simply because they don't know they exist. This gap in awareness can have profound effects on student success, retention, and overall well-being. These services are often scattered across multiple websites, platforms, and alternative forms of engagement, creating confusion for students and preventing them from finding the help they need. I'm thrilled to share that TEDU has secured $2 million in Seed-1 funding, led by Cofounders Capital and with participation from Greenwood Cavalier, Tiberius Holdings, and angels passionate about supporting underrepresented students. This milestone marks a pivotal step in our mission to revolutionize the infrastructure supporting higher education students beyond the classroom, particularly as learning loss continues to critically impact student success and retention. We are deeply honored and excited that the incredible David Gardner will be joining our board. His extensive industry experience will be invaluable as we enter this next phase of growth. As a side note for all founders out there—if you haven’t already—I highly recommend reading his incredible guidebook, The Startup Hats! Last month, I had the privilege of attending the 2024 ICSI Conference in Baltimore with my TEDU team, and it was truly an exceptional experience. Thanks to our partnership with ICSI, we engaged with global teams dedicated to enhancing Supplemental Instruction programs, all united by our shared passion for improving student success. I'm grateful to Jessica Pearson and her outstanding team at the International Center for Supplemental Instruction at the University of Missouri-Kansas City for hosting this amazing event. Their efforts made it not only informative but also incredibly inspiring. I'm eagerly anticipating the next conference and the opportunity to further cultivate the partnerships and friendships we've forged along the way.
