?The Power of Teamwork for a Shared Vision? Years ago, we crossed paths in college, never guessing we’d one day pursue the same purpose: changing the narrative for our beloved Sierra Leone one project at a time. Though we’ve taken different routes and approaches, TechWomen brought us together with one mission at heart. Through countless late nights, tight deadlines, and brainstorming sessions, we built something that truly matters: an impact project supporting maternal and child health in Sierra Leone. We will continue partnering with the government, the Ministry of Health and Sanitation, and dedicated stakeholders. We created a proposal titled “Through Accessible Water, Lives are Saved.” Focused on reducing maternal deaths, we spotlighted this urgent issue and secured a seed grant with the U.S. Department of State to make a difference. It will be an “all-hands-on-deck” campaign to raise awareness and save lives. Stay tuned for more updates as we move forward using hashtags. #techwomen24 #AccessibleWater #SaveLives To Lisa Ramirez, the world truly needs more people like you. Your passion, dedication, and mentorship, alongside Haley’s, made us believe this project was achievable, giving us the confidence we needed in times of doubt. And to my new friend Kelly Hoppesch, everyone deserves someone like you in their corner. I am so grateful for our “what’s next” conversations. Your advice and support are game-changers for me. Katie Zee, you are the definition of a superwoman. Your strength and drive set the bar high and inspire everyone around you. Thank you for showing us what’s possible. To Becca Pratt and Kadijatu Kabba —small team, big heart! I couldn’t ask for better collaborators. Together, we’re ready to make a difference. #Beginningofbeginnings #embassy #TechWomen24 #Mentorship #SLUSEmbassy #ChangeMakers #trio #WomenInstem @statedept @exchangeourworld

Exploring AI's Impact and Challenges: ?? ?? ?? Partnering with Afiniti, a Washington, D.C.-based organization dedicated to responsible AI, our D.C. Delegation had the opportunity to delve into the profound impact and challenges of artificial intelligence across global economies. Following a fireside discussion mediated by media innovator and founder of Washington AI Network Tammy Haddad featuring Caroline O'Brien, Chief Data Officer at Afiniti, delegates explored the emergence of AI, its implications for daily work and education, and its ethical applications in various fields. We extend our sincere gratitude to Mary Kay Pennington-McGaughey, Lindsay Hua (she/her), and the rest of the Afiniti teammates whose generous time and support made this event a success. #responsibleAI #twimpact #techwomen24
