Thank you to all who joined us for startup pitch night with the Algerian Startup Expedition Program! More than 80 founders, investors, and operators joined us to celebrate and provide feedback on founder pitches in a friendly competition event in service of our mission to connect Silicon Valley with MENA. We heard great pitches from Qareeb in the edge computing x AI space, ALPAY in fintech, Fast Delivery in consumer, and Smart Drilling Operations Energy x AI. We are excited for the journey that Hamza Abdellatif, Adam Debba, Reda BOULESNANE (félicitations), and ALOUI REDA are on and we can’t wait to see where they go next alongside all the other founders! And massive thank you to judges Yousra Gaballah, Elias Saadeh, and Mohamed Elawad ! He seeks individuals who have taken risks, failed fast, and turned their failures into opportunities for hope and redemption. The fireside chat will be moderated by Deena S.. Deena is a seasoned journalist with over six years of experience in investigative journalism and audio storytelling. Originally from Egypt, she has spent the last five years in the Bay Area, leveraging her expertise in digital media and content operations. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Miami Herald, KQED, The Pandora Papers and Kerning Cultures. She's currently on the TechWadi team and an editor at Apple.
