Wayne State University President Kimberly Andrews Espy, Ph.D., recently wrote an article for The Coalition of Urban Serving Universities (USU). In it, she discusses Wayne State receiving the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU)'s Innovation and Economic Engagement award in the Connections category last fall. ?? The award highlights TechTown Detroit’s essential role in advancing Wayne State's Prosperity Agenda, particularly through the third pillar: Fuel Innovation for Our Competitiveness. As the university’s entrepreneurship hub, TechTown helps strengthen Michigan’s economic competitiveness by nurturing innovation and supporting small business growth. ?? The article also touches on the Mobility Accelerator Innovation Network (MAIN), a collaboration focused on sustainable mobility solution. MAIN exemplifies TechTown’s proactive approach to addressing urban challenges while contributing to a robust and inclusive economy. ??
