AI is creating our future, but who’s creating AI? 1 week to go! In partnership with Accenture UK & Ireland: we’ll bring 240 secondary school age girls from underrepresented backgrounds in the Manchester area together with AI industry leaders and policymakers for the UK’s first inclusive AI careers summit. On 7 March, in celebration of International Women’s Day, the girls will hear from industry leaders including Melinda Jacobs from Mindstone, Hannah Lloyd from OpenAI, Beth Robinson from NVIDIA, Elizabeth C. from Accenture, Liv L. from DSIT, Amina Ba from Kraken and Shaheen Sayed from Accenture. We’re delighted to reveal our host for the event Maddie Moate, BAFTA winning TV presenter, author and YouTuber. Designed by our Education team, the girls will experience hands-on tech demos on the day to understand how AI can help the planet, people, and be used for creativity and inclusion. We’ll be capturing the girls' views of the future of AI - because it’s not just the future, it’s their future. Huge thanks to our collaborators for their involvement: Kraken, Barclays UK, Microsoft, Jaguar Land Rover UK, Adobe, NVIDIA, Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, OpenAI, Mindstone, NatWest Group, We Are PoWEr and Immersive. https://lnkd.in/edPjczgY #GirlsInAISummit #IWD2025 #AI #TechSheCan #Accenture #GirlsInAI #InclusiveAI

Thank you Joey Tait and developrec for your brilliant work in schools and Championing us!
Developrec?is proud to be a strategic partner of Tech She Can. For every placement we complete, we donate money to local primary school Canon Barnett to be ringfenced for STEM investment. We do this to ensure the future of our industry is bright. Last week, we took TSB Bank into the school to talk to the children about their journeys in IT. It was absolutely brilliant! Incredible work from Samantha O'Neill, David Perez Aruniima Chakrabarti and Melissa Deer Like and share the video below and if you can, put a comment on it. We're going to share it with the children and their teachers and they'd love to see your support. If anyone would like to speak to us about being part of these initiatives then drop me a line!
