To say we are excited about being the recipient of an onsemi Foundation grant is an understatement! We are proud to be in the company of other organizations "empowering the next generation of innovators to think critically, creatively and collaboratively."
The ON Semiconductor Foundation is thrilled to announce the recipients of our 2024 STEAM Education grants! This year, we’re investing $2 million in 52 innovative projects worldwide—our largest number of grantees and highest investment ever. ???? These inspiring projects, ranging from robotics programs to tech entrepreneurship competitions, will impact more than 6 million learners across Asia, Europe and North America. By equipping students with the skills needed for the future, we’re helping to close the global talent gap in critical fields like semiconductors, where shortages remain a pressing challenge. STEAM education isn’t just about the classroom—it’s about empowering the next generation of innovators to think critically, creatively and collaboratively. We’re proud to support organizations making a real difference in their communities. "Because movements need both inner work and outer action." - reading inspiration from our CEO and Chief Book Recommender, Tara Chklovski
I shared my journey and lessons learned as an entrepreneur at HackHarvard a few weeks ago (invited by Technovation alumna Luna Yin) and the students wanted a list of the books that have fueled, educated and inspired me. So here is that list! My favorite is "Man's search for meaning". Other standouts are: "Just Mercy" - Bryan Stevenson's testament to justice reform "Thinking in Systems" - Donella Meadows' blueprint for understanding complex change "When Women Lead" - Julia Boorstin's exploration of transformative leadership. The list spans soul-searching, learning theory, heroic journeys, time management, human behavior, organizational development, systemic change, writing craft, and physical resilience. Because movements need both inner work and outer action. Both theory and practice. Both heart and strategy. What are your favorites? Here is a higher-res image: https://lnkd.in/gG3YDUvY

What's there to do in San Francisco with teenagers from all over the world? Field Trips! Our amazing champions at Unity, Blue River Technology, and Salesforce invited our teams over during World Summit Week. Our visits included incredible panels, connecting with powerhouse female leaders, a 360 degree view of the city (we're still talking about that one, Salesforce), and of course lots of snacks and bonding time. We are honored to have been welcomed into your spaces to meet and learn from your amazing employees. We will never forget these trips! A special thank you to Franchesca White, Suchismita (Suchi) Das, Sanjna Parulekar, Allison Shah, and Emily Belke at Salesforce for creating the perfect panel and a spectacular tour. To Angela George, and Shani Kahani at Unity, we truly appreciated the warm welcome. And finally to Pat Barnes, Matthew Eley, and Sarah Heimlich we loved our walking tour to John Deere! #WorldSummit2024 #GirlsAreTheAnswer

Before World Summit, each of our 15 teams had the opportunity to practice their pitches one last time in front of an audience. This year, these trial runs were hosted by our amazing partners at SoftBank Group Corp., Electronic Arts (EA), and ServiceNow. Teams were treated to lunch, encouraged by volunteers, and empowered for their final presentations the next day at NVIDIA. An extra special thank you to Jaimie Vargas, Angelina Ortiz, Angie Y. and Teryll Hopper for making our Junior division time at EA so memorable. And thank you to Rebecca Wang and Marissa O'Rourke for your tireless support and encouragement of our Beginner teams. Finally, Trish T., you outdid yourself with the welcome party for our Seniors. We are so lucky to have amazing champions like you all! #WorldSummit2024 #GirlsAreTheAnswer
