Fortnite Island Creator Rules: A Broken System? Hey fellow Fortnite creators and Epic Games, it me Malcolm again on a soapbox. I'm reaching out to see if anyone else has been facing similar issues with the Fortnite Island Creator rules. I've been consistently receiving rejection letters for my island, "Bacon," citing violations of rules 1.13 and 1.18. Rule 1.13: I've ensured that my lobby background is an accurate screenshot from within the game and that I'm not misleading players with false advertising. Rule 1.18: The IARC rating blocks my game from being played in Kenya, which is my target audience. This is strange because three of my other twelve islands can be viewed there. I just learned about this. My game is a modified version of capture the flag, inspired by a childhood game called "steal the bacon." Players capture a point at the center of the arena, and return it to their base. They can choose their preferred melee weapons and utilize power-ups they find in the arena for an advantage. While the game involves combat, it's primarily melee-based with limited projectile options via power-up (no guns). I'm struggling to understand why a game like this, which is relatively tame compared to other popular Fortnite modes, is being blocked in certain regions. It seems like the system is either overly strict or not functioning correctly. Has anyone else encountered similar problems? If so, what steps did you take to resolve them? I'd appreciate any advice or support. Let's work together to improve the fairness and transparency of the Fortnite Island Creator rules. Thanks in advance for any and every piece of advice and help. PS, We don't have servers in Africa for Fortnite which is a whole other problem. Let's at least try to grow the esports community with what we have available. Blocking games is not going to help the growth in that demographic location. #epic #Unreal #Unrealfest #Diversitymatters #AfricaGaming

Another Year Older, Another Year Wiser Yesterday was my birthday, and I can't help but reflect on how the year you're born can shape your interests. For me, born in 1977, it seems like movies, video games, and martial arts have always been a part of my DNA. Growing up in the late 70s and early 80s, I was surrounded by iconic films like Star Wars and Raiders of the Lost Ark. The adventure, the special effects, and the larger-than-life characters captured my imagination and inspired me to dream big. Then came the video game revolution with the Atari 2600 and the Nintendo Entertainment System. Those early games, with their simple graphics and challenging gameplay, taught me patience, problem-solving, and the joy of overcoming obstacles. And let's not forget the martial arts! I was fascinated by the discipline, the physicality, and the philosophy behind them. Watching Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan on the big screen fueled my desire to learn and train. It's amazing how the cultural landscape of our childhood can have such a lasting impact on our passions. So, here's to another year of movies, video games, and martial arts!

"15 Kills and a Soundtrack: My Fortnite Epic" Introduction: Ever had one of those Fortnite matches where everything just clicks? You're landing perfectly, sniping accurately, and outsmarting your opponents at every turn. Well, I recently had one of those matches, and it was nothing short of Epic Games. Not only did I manage to rack up 15 eliminations, but I also had a blast using AI to create a custom soundtrack for the experience. The Match: The AI Soundtrack: To make this experience even more memorable, I decided to use AI to generate a custom soundtrack. I've been experimenting with AI music generation lately, and I've been really impressed with the results. The AI then generated a piece of music that perfectly captured the intensity and excitement of the battle. Conclusion: This experience has shown me the incredible potential of AI to enhance our gaming experiences. By combining the thrill of competitive gaming with the creativity of AI-generated music, I was able to create a truly unique and unforgettable memory. #Fortnite, #AI, #Gaming, #Music, #EpicMatch #RepresentationMatters https://lnkd.in/e2wbgeAN

Rediscovering the Magic: Anish Kapoor's Timeless Concave Sculpture I've always had a deep connection with art, but few pieces have captivated me as profoundly as Anish Kapoor's stainless steel concave sculpture. I first encountered this mesmerizing work years ago, and its impact on me has only grown stronger over time. This weekend, my wife and I had the privilege of revisiting this extraordinary piece. It was as if we were seeing it for the first time, filled with the same awe and wonder. The sculpture's reflective surface seemed to distort reality, creating an illusion of depth and dimension. As I stood before it, I was transported to a different world, a place where the boundaries between the real and the imagined blurred. For me, this sculpture evokes a profound sense of connection to my work as a VR developer. The way it manipulates perception and creates a multi-sensory experience reminds me of the immersive worlds I strive to build. It's like taking someone on a journey from one virtual reality to another, a seamless transition filled with wonder and excitement. Have you ever experienced a piece of art that has left you speechless? I'd love to hear about your favorite artistic encounters. Had an incredible time pregame at the HyperX Arena in Vegas with Clinton Sparks. It’s inspiring to see someone who truly appreciates our culture in gaming. Clinton brings decision-makers to the table who genuinely understand both hip-hop and gaming. In an industry where culture vultures often use us for PR and photo ops, this experience was truly refreshing! #representationmatters #esports #hiphopculture
