Ever feel stuck when writing an email to a student? Technolutions Slate’s First Draft is here to help! Here's how to get started: 1?? Click on an email in a record to open Inbox. 2?? Select the three hypocycloids at the bottom to launch First Draft. 3?? Provide a prompt and tailor the generated text to match your situation, institution, and voice. 4?? Pro Tip: Copy the text and save it as a new snippet to reuse whenever you need it! Hat tip to Nicholas DiGregory for this great idea! ?? #SlateFeatureFridays are designed primarily as a training resource for my team, and we'll be taking a short break next week to celebrate Thanksgiving. ??Don't worry—we'll be back the first week of December! See you then!

So I didn't get a chance to post about this earlier, but some time ago (pre-pandemic) I wanted to try and set up a Technolutions Slate User Group for New Jersey in an attempt to bring together all of the brilliant minds and colleagues that I came to meet over my tenure in Higher Education and Enrollment Management. That did not come to fruition as I made a career change followed by the pandemic, causing a prolonged adjustment period. In my current role at Ferrilli as a Slate CRM Consultant, I have been given the opportunity and support to fulfill that professional (and admittedly personal) goal to set up this User Group. We currently have over 80 members and are open to all Slate Users regardless of technical skill, functional area, or even state! I hope that this space can be both supportive AND accessible to anyone looking for insight, best-practice, creative solutions, or community building. For anyone interested to join, you can do so via the following link (but please note that you must have an active Slate account at your institution to join): https://lnkd.in/euVUfcVQ

It's time for another edition of our Slate 101 series! Today, we're talking zip codes and relevant communications. Using a zip code filter is a great way to send content like event invitations to nearby students. This helps us be more precise in our outreach rather than selecting nearby states. Think about it: with states as large as Texas and as wide as Tennessee, filtering by state doesn't always equal proximity. Special thanks to our Slate Strategist Lauren for her insights! #Slate #enrollmentmanagement #highered Technolutions

Slate Feature Friday: Setting Default Tabs ? Ever wish you could save a click when navigating records in Slate? Imagine going directly to your most-used tab, whether it’s a custom tab with event history on organization records or an onboarding tab for enrolled students during the busy summer months. Here’s how to make it happen: Simply locate the small "Set Default Tab" link at the bottom of any page. A dialog box will open, allowing you to choose and set your preferred tab for that record type. Once set, this selection will stay with you across sessions - no need to repeat the process every time. Happy streamlining! #SlateFeatureFriday ?? Technolutions
