Technical Communications Professionals (TCP) was created over five years ago to provide support to technical writers, managers of technical writers, students, and educators. The list provides members with support, advice, and lively interaction. Members often answer questions from the whole range of technical communication including such topics as help systems, publication processes, tool suggestions, and product recommendations. Member advice is based on a wealth of real life experience. The TCP list server connects several hundred professional technical writers working in virtually all industries and academe. The organization added a web site for members and non-members in 2010. The website features news and articles of interest to the profession. A searchable archive of past list conversations is maintained for members.
