The National Association for PET Container Resources (NAPCOR) reported an uptick in PET recycling from 29% to 33%, indicating a promising trend after a decade of stagnation. Now that consumers are demanding it, brands will choose converters that can deliver. Bottle flake is notoriously less forgiving than virgin PET. Recycled material is more challenging to process and still presents performance gaps such as low Intrinsic Viscosity (IV), unacceptable color, reduced impact strength, and more.
