?? Grateful for an Inspiring Experience in ATL! ?? A huge thank you to SodexoMagic, it’s VP’s Donna Ford and Robbi Stiell , as well as Tiffany Spencer ?? and TechForward for an amazing touring experience in Atlanta! Robbi Stiell, your passion for business and politics is contagious and you are absolutely right we all should be doing our part, using our constitutional right to vote and help our country move forward. Donna Ford, your unwavering dedication to upholding the standard, managing business relationships and just overall being a kind spirit to everyone you come into contact with is amazing. Tiffany Spencer ?? , I applaud your drive to ensure that students have all the necessary tools at their feet to succeed especially those of HBCU’s. All of you, your dedication and passion for what you do truly made this experience unforgettable. Your warmth made me feel like more than just an intern but part of the family and for that I am beyond great. During our tour, we had the incredible opportunity to visit some of SodexoMagic partner companies and clients, including: ? Sodexo Live! ? Delta Air Lines HQ ? Salesforce Tower ? Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta These visits provided invaluable insights into the dynamic work being done in various industries. Wether it be how a small new cutting edge site of Sodexo Live! can cover and cater to the largest travelled airport in the world, or how to maintaining a standard of quality in such a large space, with such a small team in the Delta Air Lines Cafe, or how to transform a work space to feel more like an oasis at the Salesforce tower - ( the trees in the office are most definitely real ??), Or maintain a level of excellence and integrity at the Federal Reserve. Which by far was the most eye opening and transformative experience of the weekend. How many people can say they have been in the vault at the federal reserve and let me just say “ Money Money Money Mmmmooooonnnnnneeeeeyyyy”? - ( it’s the words great Denzel Washington “I’m leaving here with something” so I got some shredded bills ?? for the road ) Overall, I’m truly inspired and eager to apply what I’ve learned from my time in Atlanta, GA in my career. I feel more connected and motivated than ever, ready to embrace new challenges and opportunities. Thank you to techforword SodexoMagic and Salesforce for inviting and allowing me to attend “Dreamin' In Color Conference where I connected with an amazing community of brilliant minds who look like me in the technology industry and Salesforce ecosystem. A heartfelt thank you to Tiffany Spencer ?? for creating such an inclusive and welcoming space for us to come together. Your dedication to fostering community is truly remarkable. A big shoutout to Lili Kwan from Salesforce for being so approachable and insightful. I learned so much from our conversations. I also want to extend my deepest thanks to Donna Ford VP of Sodexo Magic, for spending time with me over the weekend. Your wisdom and insights were valuable and have left a lasting impact on me. I am especially grateful for the opportunity to visit one of Sodexo Magic’s sites at Xavier University of Louisiana. This experience was enriching, and inspiring as well as nourishing because the gumbo was amazing. I also want to recognize the wonderful speakers who shared their wisdom and experiences at the event. A special mention to Trovon C. Williams, MBA of the NAACP whose powerful words resonated deeply: “Why do we look up for superheroes when we are the ones wearing the capes” and “Giants can’t SHRINK.” These quotes serve as a powerful reminder of our own strength and potential. Feeling inspired and motivated by all the incredible people I’ve met, the connections I’ve made and the knowledge I’ve gained were nothing short of amazing. Wow… Dreamin' In Color Conference 2024 exceeded my expectations. My first time in NOLA was simply amazing. I am so appreciative of the opportunity to pitch my Snap2Case idea live, and was happy to share the stage with two other amazing finalists. I’m SUPER thankful to win the Crowd Favorite award, and extremely blessed to receive the support I need to turn this idea into a reality ????. Latrice Barnett and Joshua Hoskins ? did an amazing job organizing the pitch competition. Thank you to my coach Sharif Shaalan for giving me feedback and guidance on my pitch. And thank you Tiffany Spencer ?? for daring us to dream. The amount of people who came up to congratulate me and tell me how much they loved my idea is mind-blowing. I never thought that I would receive this much love for my app. Y'all really hyped me up lol. I truly appreciate each and every one of you. This conference really has the most supportive community. Huge thank you to everyone who sent over videos and pictures of me like Ben Bolding and Fayven A.. I want to give a BIG shoutout to everyone who came out to see my “Flow into Apex” session. I had a great turnout with a bunch of positive feedback! I hope I inspired you all to learn how to code on the Salesforce platform. I was surprised to see ?? Warren Walters in my session, and was definitely honored when he told me I did a great job and picked a great topic. I also attended the Golf Clinic, explored the city with my Horry County crew Tahrea Sherman and Jessica Deas, caught up with my Dreamin in Color fam, and made some new friends. I love experiencing this conference every year, and can't wait to see what happens next year!

This week I had the opportunity to represent Morehouse and TechForward as an anttendee to the 2024 Dreamin in color conference In New Orleans. Throughout my week we networked with Salesforce professionals, gained valuable insight, and learned more information about navigating the Salesforce platform. This was an amazing experience! Almost five years ago, I had the pleasure of teaching Gerome Howard Jr, a student-athlete at Bethune-Cookman University. Thanks to the partnership and dedication of Guilda H. and Tiffany Spencer ??, we integrated Trailhead learning paths into the curriculum, offering students like Gerome a valuable opportunity. Fast forward to today, and I couldn't be more proud to see Gerome's remarkable progress. With 8 Salesforce certifications under his belt, he now thrives as a consultant for one of Salesforce’s partners. Witnessing his growth firsthand has been truly rewarding.
