Department of ITE&C, Government of Telangana & Swecha Telangana are pleased to jointly announce a groundbreaking data-thon aimed at creating a Telugu Large Language Model (#LLM) that preserves the rich cultural history of the Telugu-speaking people, which is being conducted across all engineering colleges in Telangana We thank - Emerging Technologies Wing, Govt. of Telangana for facilitating the event - Our research partner International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIITH) - Our outreach partner Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge - Our industry partners Ozonetel Communications, DigiQuanta, TechVedika The data-thon represents a significant step towards collecting and digitizing a diverse range of Telugu linguistic and cultural resources. Participants will gather data from various oral sources, including folk tales, songs, local histories, and traditional knowledge about food and cuisine. By engaging with these rich oral traditions, the data-thon will play a crucial role in preserving and promoting the Telugu language and its cultural heritage.
