What are you fine-tuning to make it to your finish line? Recently, I completed marathon #18. After each one, I question more and more why I continue to do these. The bottom line is that I enjoy the process that gets me to the start line and fine-tuning the process to minimize the risk of not making it to the finish line. In recruiting, we don’t always see success – a client turns down a candidate or a candidate doesn’t accept an offer, etc. However, we continue to fine-tune our process to increase the success rate. Celebrating 25 Years in Technical Staffing! Yes, I'm that old. Reflecting on my 25-year journey in the technical staffing industry, I've seen a lot of ups and downs – from Y2K, the DotCom bubble and bust, the Financial Crisis, the post-crisis boom, the Pandemic, the post-pandemic boom, and the recent slowdown. Over the years, I've grown immensely. Integrity has always been my foundation, but I've become more empathetic, patient, and curious. In our industry, we often don't know the full story behind someone's decision to leave a job or accept a new one. My role is to provide all the information they need to make the best choice for themselves and their families. There were moments when I could have opted for short-term gains, but I always believed in playing the long game. This approach has allowed me to build lasting relationships – I'm still working with people I met early in my career and take pride in maintaining my ethics. I've had the privilege of working with many amazing individuals over the years, and I'm especially thrilled with the incredible team we have now. I still love coming to work every day and enjoy each team member's company. Thank you, Ben, Annie, Courtney, and Cassidy. As for the future, I’m not sure how many more years I'll be doing this, but as long as I enjoy helping our candidates, clients, and employees, I’ll be here.
