But that requires decisive action. ? We have the talent. We have the foundations. Now, we need a clear strategy - smart investment, strong policies, and a global mindset - to make Australia the best place to build and scale responsible, world-leading AI. ? The Tech Council of Australia is focused on turning this vision into reality - ensuring Australia doesn’t just participate in the AI revolution but helps shape it. https://lnkd.in/guAVPzzE #AI #TechLeadership #AustralianTech #Innovation?

Introducing the Consumer Energy Tech Alliance (CETA). Today, the Tech Council of Australia (TCA) is proud to launch the Consumer Energy Tech Alliance (CETA) – a new initiative designed to accelerate Australia’s energy transition, drive tech innovation, and recognise consumer's contribution to the energy revolution. With the rise of solar, battery storage, and smart technologies, Australian households and businesses are not just energy users – they’re becoming energy producers. CETA is here to ensure this transformation delivers lower power prices, greater reliability, and a thriving tech ecosystem for energy innovators. CETA is built on three core pillars: - Empowering consumers in the energy transition - Lowering costs & improving grid reliability - Creating a fair and competitive landscape for energy tech innovation TCA CEO Damian Kassabgi “CETA champions a balanced approach, combining innovation with system security so that Australia can realise the full potential of its consumer energy resources (CER).” Scott Farquhar TCA Board Director, “Innovative tech is the spark that will ensure Australia builds a flexible and reliable decentralised energy system – one that accelerates the energy transition and showcases amazing homegrown talent.” Brighte CEO Katherine McConnell, a founding CETA member, “Battery storage and smart technologies like virtual power plants are considered crucial to helping stabilise the grid by storing solar power outside of peak times and then exporting electricity during times of high demand. This helps avoid the grid becoming flooded." Mike Cannon-Brookes, says "there's a really compelling argument as to why the government should contribute to the incentives around installing batteries." CETA’s founding members include Brighte, Reposit Power, eLumina, Evie Networks, Neara, SNAPI, MyPlace by Advantage Air, CATCH Power, and Smartizer – a coalition committed to shaping Australia’s energy future. #ConsumerEnergyTech #EnergyTransition #Innovation #CETA #TCA #RenewableEnergy #TechCouncilAustralia More info: https://lnkd.in/gYGSCMxy https://lnkd.in/gTfTQD3t

The Tech Council of Australia was pleased to join the Executive Cyber Workforce Summit in Sydney yesterday. We were joined by Andrew Charlton, Special Envoy for Cyber Security and Digital Resilience, and LTGEN Michelle McGuinness, National Cyber Security Coordinator. The cyber workforce summit brought industry groups, leaders from across government, industry and academia together to share collective knowledge and insights on cyber skills to operationalise Shield 5 of the National Cyber Security Strategy. The mission to build a national cyber workforce needs to be underpinned by strong collaboration between Government and industry. Harmonising our approach on skills, roles, and pathways will help us create Australia’s cyber workforce of the future. This included initiatives and frameworks shared across organisations, considering how to accelerate the adoption of a national cyber skills framework, how to attract future cyber talent, incentives to grow priority cyber capabilities, and to enhance workforce diversity in cyber.? We thank the leadership of CyberCX and Woolworths Group, as well as many others from across the tech and cyber ecosystem in working together to shape the upcoming Australian Cyber Workforce Playbook.
