NEW PODCAST: The financial system is moving on-chain - insights from Coinbase's VP of Product, Max Branzburg In our latest podcast episode, Tearsheet's Zack Miller sits down with Max Branzburg, Vice President of Product at Coinbase, to explore how blockchain technology is fundamentally reshaping financial services. Key highlights from this insightful conversation: ? Coinbase's new Bitcoin-backed loan product allows customers to borrow USDC against their Bitcoin holdings in under a minute—unlocking liquidity while maintaining crypto exposure ? On-chain financial systems offer inherent advantages: they're instant, nearly free, globally accessible, and permissionless ? The adoption curve is evolving from "come for investment, stay for utility" to "come for utility, stay for investment" as practical applications like global payments become primary entry points ? Platform approaches are challenging traditional banking's vertical integration, enabling innovation cycles that legacy systems can't match ? Stablecoin transaction volume reached $30 trillion last year, exceeding Visa and Mastercard combined—signaling massive market demand As Branzburg notes, "We believe that on-chain financial services are actually better than what exists off-chain. They provide more value to customers, and so we're deliberately building with that technology to enable those end-user benefits." Listen to the full episode to understand how this convergence of centralized and decentralized finance is creating new possibilities for financial services. https://lnkd.in/e9TaXrjQ #FinancialServices #Blockchain #DigitalAssets #Fintech #TearsheetPodcast

Plaid's growth has served as a catalyst for the firm's recent rebrand. The new look showcases their expanded capabilities, reach businesses beyond fintech, and forge stronger connections with both B2B and B2C customers. In their rebrand, Plaid maintained their recognizable logo but updated most visual touchpoints by incorporating elements inspired by paper money and historical figures like Benjamin Franklin and Abraham Lincoln. https://lnkd.in/g4RZVA5Z

Ramp is eating its own AI dog food - and it's transforming the organization Geoff Charles, Chief Product Officer at Ramp, has a bold internal mission that matches the company's external AI push. They're not just building AI into their products—they're transforming how they work internally. "We have a goal internally at Ramp to have 100% of every employee use AI every single day," Charles shared in our recent Tearsheet podcast. Charles isn't just talking about AI integration—he's created dedicated teams to evangelize AI usage across every corner of Ramp: ? Sales reps use AI to craft more effective emails ? Support specialists leverage AI to answer tickets faster ? Engineers accelerate their coding with AI assistance ? Product managers automatically analyze customer insights from calls, support tickets, and user sessions The results? Pretty impressive. "It's making our teams radically more efficient," Charles explains. "Every single PM can do a lot more, and there's actually a lot more empowerment with less people... less bureaucracy, less layers of management, less overhead." In a fintech landscape where everyone's racing to slap AI capabilities onto their products, Ramp's eat-your-own-cooking approach gives them a genuine edge. They're living in the AI-powered future they're building for their customers. And that future looks lean. Charles's product philosophy? "I don't want two PMs in a room. When there's two PMs in a room, that means that I've failed in terms of my organizational structure." Here's Geoff describing building an AI-first culture from the inside out. Then dive into our full podcast to discover how they're reimagining expense management and preparing to "build the thing that kills you, before someone else will."
