    A few days ago, I was testing an extension of the SEL-RTAC, Email-Plus, before deploying it in the field. After a fault occurs, the associated relay triggers an event, which is then collected in the RTAC. This application allows the event data to be sent out via SMTP, along with the CEV or CONTRADE file, to multiple recipients. All these settings can be customized. See the example in the picture below of an email received, noting the attached file (CEV) and the device name and fault description in the email body. This great and simple-to-implement tool facilitates access to key information for troubleshooting in a matter of minutes. When the email is sent to the right people, they can support restoring the system and reducing downtime.
