Team Tobyhanna welcomed personnel from Johns Hopkins University’s Applied Physics Laboratory Team on-post yesterday, March 20, for a comprehensive tour and discussions. Together, our organizations are driving innovation in key strategic technologies. Key focus areas included advancing microelectronics, integrating artificial intelligence, and virtual reality products. These priorities reaffirm Tobyhanna’s commitment to warfighter readiness now and into the future. • Team Tobyhanna’s Resource Management Directorate held the first ever “Explore & Know More” event for students of area technical, vocational, cyber and high schools on March 19-20. Invites were sent to 65 institutions, encouraging them to bring students from a vast array of technical and academic disciplines to Tobyhanna Army Depot to get to know our mission and the exciting careers they can pursue following completion of their education. (FYI - Schools that were unable to attend due to scheduled standardized testing will have another opportunity in the fall to get the Team Tobyhanna experience!) The visitors were given an overview of depot operations, took in a presentation on internship opportunities and pathways to employment, enjoyed interactive displays showcasing a sampling of the equipment maintained by our skilled workforce, and received a tour highlighting the modernization of our facilities and the history of the depot. This inaugural event allowed these future artisans and leaders the rare opportunity to see firsthand how Team Tobyhanna delivers combat readiness to the U.S. Armed Forces – today, tomorrow, and into the future!

  • #ThrowbackThursday – As Team Tobyhanna looks ahead to the U.S. Army’s big 250th birthday this summer, we are also looking back and celebrating the THOUSANDS of service members who have #TrainedWithTobyhanna! The first Army Reservists and National Guard training facilities opened at Tobyhanna Army Depot in 1962 when the Monroe County Memorial U.S. Army Reserve Center was constructed and established at the depot. In 1989, the High-Tech Regional Training Site, Tobyhanna opened its doors on post. At the time, this site was the first of only two to reach full operational status and attain its Army training accreditation. Today, this facility is one third of the Signal Corps’ regional training architecture and is the EXCLUSIVE site for 25S10 Satellite Communication Systems Operator-Maintainer training - helping to shape the future of satellite communications in the military! Team Tobyhanna is proud to be a part of the U.S. Army ‘s legacy for 112 years and counting! #TOBY2035 | #StrategicCommunication | #Army250
