We talk a lot about TeamSmile events, but do you know how they work? Every year, thousands of kids nationwide get FREE dental care and empowering health education through clinics that are set up and broken down in just two days. When the event is done and the volunteers and mascots and players have gone home, TeamSmile is still working to find each and every one of those children a dental home, if they need it. DJ Reader, a Detroit Lions defensive tackle, supported a care event in Detroit. "Seeing the kids in Detroit excited about their checkups and knowing they have people who care about them was incredibly meaningful. It’s about empowering them to take charge of their health and letting them know they have support, even in areas that might seem out of reach," he says.
