Meet teenage Paco, our symbol of positive change! ?? Paco believes that with determination and self-confidence, anything is possible. Earlier this week, we introduced young Paco alongside Paralympian Ezra Frech, who faced health challenges early in life. But those obstacles only fueled Ezra’s drive for greatness! ?? His mom’s words, “Walk in proud, chest out, head high, and let the world know you’ve arrived,” became his mantra. And with that mindset, Ezra tackled a variety of sports, believing he could achieve anything. He fell in love with the high jump and set a bold goal - to make it to the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo. At 16, Ezra made his dream come true and competed in Tokyo, later going on to win two gold medals at the Paralympics in Paris! Paco embodies positive change, showing us how to learn and grow from the obstacles we face to become our best selves. Paco’s passion for positive change reminds us of the unstoppable Paralympian, Ezra Frech! Born in 2005, Ezra faced challenges from day one with congenital limb differences. After life-changing surgeries, including the amputation of his left leg and a finger transplant, Ezra and his family refused to let adversity hold him back. He jumped into sports, including basketball and eventually his ultimate passion—the high jump. We’re back with our teenage version of Lamar, who’s always ready to lead his TEAM to success! Similarly, U.S. Paralympian Chuck Aoki turns challenges into opportunities for greatness. ??? After becoming fully wheelchair-bound at 13, Chuck joined a local wheelchair basketball league. However, it was the 2005 documentary Murderball that inspired him to switch gears to wheelchair rugby. At 16, with his parents’ permission, Chuck dove into the sport and ended up truly excelling. Today, Chuck is the co-captain of the USA Wheelchair Rugby Team, driving his team to greatness, including a silver medal at this year’s Paralympics! ?? Off the court, Chuck has a teaching degree and spends time mentoring and coaching others. Meet Lamar, our incredible TEAM member who leads by example and helps us all discover our unique strengths! Through his leadership, Lamar encourages the TEAM to achieve greatness while uncovering the gifts that make each of us special. ??? When we think of Lamar’s leadership, we're reminded of Paralympic champion Chuck Aoki! At just 6 years old, Chuck was diagnosed with HSAN, a rare genetic disorder that prevents him from feeling pain below his elbows and knees. Despite this challenge, Chuck has faced every obstacle with determination. After transitioning to a wheelchair as a teenager, he found his passion for sports, excelling in wheelchair basketball and ultimately wheelchair rugby! ??
