This week the Temecula Chamber Ambassadors had the privilege of being invited to see the secluded areas of the Pechanga reservation.?This land is behind our house, and we were able to see the famous Great Oak Tree. It’s been a great mystery and most fascinating to us as our daughter’s High School, Great Oak HS was named after it.?I’ve taken a wrong turn before to the gated area,?so the hidden land was exciting to see and hear the heritage of The Pechanga Band of Indians.?Of course, I know many aspects of Pechanga Casino from the food,?concerts, Cove, Spa and of course the slot machines and Black Jack! Here is a picture of the Great Oak tree, and at first glance, it appears to be a large tree with much growth.??But once you go under the tree there are deep roots and hidden branches that touch the ground, and become a form of roots.??This tree needs to be checked by an expert arborist to keep the roots healthy, and any diseases that could be lurking beneath the surface. Thinking about that 1000-year-old tree, it seems to relate to the IT field that I work in every day.?Just like what is hidden under the leaves of the old tree,?hidden security vulnerabilities can be quite elusive and deeply embedded within systems, often going unnoticed until they cause significant problems.
